Sabrina's Law, 2005 (An Act to Protect Anaphylactic Pupils)
Ontario law requiring every school board to establish and maintain an anaphylaxis policy to protect students with life-threatening allergies. Policies must include strategies to reduce allergen exposure, communication procedures for parents, students, and staff, and regular training for teachers and staff on managing anaphylactic emergencies. Named after Sabrina Shannon, a 13-year-old student from Pembroke, Ontario who died after suffering an anaphylactic reaction at school. Effective January 1, 2006.
