Pupil health: food allergies: California Food Allergy Resource internet web page (Zacky Bill)
AB 2640 (Chapter 794, Statutes of 2022) requires the State Department of Education to create the California Food Allergy Resource internet web page, providing voluntary guidance to school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools to help protect pupils with food allergies. The page must include state and federal resources, methods for initiating individualized food allergy management and prevention plans, strategies to minimize food anaphylaxis risk, and methods to obtain ingredient lists from school food providers. Local educational agencies are encouraged to consult the page annually.
