Possession and self-administration of inhaled medications and epinephrine by certain students or school board employees
Requires local school boards to have policies for the possession and administration of stock epinephrine auto-injectors. It also permits (but does not require) schools to stock undose-designated albuterol inhalers for emergency use. The law mandates training for school personnel and provides civil immunity for those who administer the medication in good faith. It also protects the rights of students with diagnosed conditions to self-carry and self-administer their own rescue medications with provider and parental consent.
